Croatian academic painter Jadranka Fatur graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1974 in the class of Miljenko Stančić. She was an associate of the Master Workshop of Krsto Hegedušić and Ljubo Ivančić (1973 - 1977). She trained in Paris in 1977 and 1978.

She paints hyperrealistic compositions with the motifs of contemporary city vedutes that literally conveys them from slides or photographs. Jadranka Fatur's framing is precisely photographic, with cuts that exclude everything that does not fit into such a frame. The combination of two conventions, the photographic one and the painterly one, gives this hyperrealism the exceptionality of unified media that does not lose any of its peculiarities.
