The academy-trained painter Dalibor Parać enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1940. He discontinued his studies in 1941 to join the National Liberation Movement of the resistance. Parać continued his studies from 1945 to 1948. Afterwards, he participated in the special study program led by Ljubo Babić from 1948 to 1950. From 1950 to 1952, Parać was an associate of the Master's Workshop of Krsto Hegedušić. Parać took up a teaching position as professor at the School of Applied Arts from 1952 to 1961, ultimately becoming assistant professor in 1961. Later on, he was awarded the position of professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He painted still lifes, figural compositions, portraits and Mediterranean landscapes in the spirit of lyrical abstraction, then from the 1980s he depicted flat-linear figures in imaginary, sensual situations with refined colors. He was engaged in illustrating books, and since 2000, small plastic and medal work. He received the "Vladimir Nazor" Award for Lifetime Achievement (1992).
