Jurica Mihinjač was born in 1966 in Varaždin. Although he has been involved in artistic creation since 1999, he has exhibited in several group exhibitions and five solo exhibitions, the last of which was held in the same museum space in 2011.

In his newer sculptures, he uses wood, metal and various objects from everyday use as materials, and unlike the previous ones, there is a richer and more intense palette of colors present. One of the features of Mihinjač's creativity is experimentation with techniques and the questioning of artistic traditions and trends, and in "Refined Form" the influences of minimalism and pop art can mostly be seen.
